Scorecards sections
Scorecards are interactive and drillable dashboards that you can design and customize for the patient population being analyzed.
Section categories
To add a section to your scorecard, click +Add Section to select a section from the dropdown.

The sections in the dropdown are organized into the following categories. Click the section name links for an explanation of the sections.
Ordering Analytics sections
Care Variation Performance | Identifies sources of variation (practice, condition, volume, or price) between user-selected profiles |
Charges and Costs Detail | Data table and pie chart of cost/charge distributions between revenue code categories |
CPT® Analytics | Analyzes Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code information, including detailed information such as time of service, place of service, and charge and cost information |
Last Day of Service | Analyzes services provided on last and next-to-last days of stay |
Pharmacy Analytics | Six levels of analysis regarding pharmaceutical charges |
Physician Service Details | Chronic disease management (CDM)-level analysis that identifies differences between physician practices |
Outcome Analytics sections
Frequent Readmissions Report | Identifies all patients in the profile with readmissions to determine patient frequency and related readmissions |
Length of Stay | Data table and pie chart to analyze length of stay (LOS) based on types of room charges |
Potentially Preventable Complications report (PPCs) | Based on PPC license, provides analysis of cases with PPC incidents |
Potentially Preventable Readmissions report (PPRs) | Based on PPR license, provides analysis of cases with PPRs |
Readmissions Analytics | Analyzes readmission data with easy-to-use categories to narrow down to patients with a primary payer of Medicare over age 65 |
Billing Analytics sections
Coding Analytics | Identifies potential areas of clinical documentation improvement (CDI) based on Medicare Severity-Diagnosis Related Group (MS-DRG) clusters |
Treatment Analysis | CDM-level analysis that identifies treatment differences between similar patients |
Data Visualization sections
Statistical Process Control | Severity- and volume-adjusted control charts and adverse event charts for select cohorts |
Top DRGs | Data table and pie chart for the 20 most common Diagnosis Related Groups (DRGs) |
Top Principal International Classification of Diseases (ICD) Procedure Codes | Data table and pie chart for the 20 most common principal procedure codes |
Top Service Lines | Data table and pie chart for the 20 most common service lines |
Two Column section | Measure-specific speedometers or line charts to visualize performance at-a-glance against a benchmark or over time |
Data Insight sections
All Procedures Analysis | View all procedures that were performed by a provider. |
Clinical Case Summary Lookup | Enter an account number or Axiom Encounter ID to view the CCS containing all details of a patient encounter or click a hyperlinked Axiom Encounter ID that shows the Clinical Case Summary for that patient encounter. |
Data Download | When exporting large CSV files, you can save to this section instead of waiting for the download. |
Details | Add any measure or stratification in this customizable data table for a dynamic analysis. |
Easy Patient Download | Use this simple platform to export patient-level information, including all diagnosis codes, procedure codes, and charge items. |
Patient List | Extract a list of all patients with a specific flag/incident (hospital acquired admissions (HACs), patient safety indicators (PSIs), readmission, mortality, and core measure). |
Add sections
When you click the dropdown to add a section, it adds that section to the bottom of the current tab.
Some sections have customization options. Click the green check mark in the top-right corner to exit Customizer Mode and view your data.
